In the period 23^rd – 24^th of April 2025, the efficiency measurement of unit TG4 at the most powerful Slovak pump-storage power plant PSPP Čierny Váh was carried out. The measurement was performed at two heads in turbine and pump mode. The Gibson method was applied for flow rate measurement. In addition to efficiency, also other parameters as pressure pulsations, cavitation emission, and vibrations (in cooperation with the operator´s vibro-diagnostic group) were determined.

The measurement, which ran in parallel with the certification of ancillary services for power grid, was successfully executed. The results will serve the PSPP operator as a basis for the tender procedure of planned unit refurbishment.
